The CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care will fulfill the minimum education requirement to work in a regulated care service in Australia. In addition to developing the necessary physical care skills, you will learn how to foster the emotional well being of young children and provide meaningful educational experiences that will assist with their preparation for primary school entrance.

Course Information

This qualification is available for direct entry. This means that you do not need to be currently working in the industry or hold a particular qualification to gain entry.

The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care has specific requirements for workplace assessment. This means that during your program you will be required to complete up to 3 voluntary work placements with a host employer approved/arranged by us.

To be eligible for work placement you will need to obtain a Child-related employment screening clearance. As part of the student selection process all applicants are required to attend an information session. After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Qualification Requirements

To achieve the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care a total of 18 units must be completed made up of fifteen (15) core units and three (3) elective units.
