The SIR30116 Certificate III in Community Pharmacy is suited to a non-junior pharmacy assistant role and covers a broad range of pharmacy skills and knowledge including accepting prescriptions and sales/advice of specialty pharmacy products as well as dispensary support.
In the event there is no public program commencing, this qualification can be delivered via Distance Education with support from a Facilitator. Some classroom based or work placement commitments may be required.

Please note:

In order to complete this qualification several units will require assessment on job within a Pharmacy.  For this reason TIME is currently only offering this program to candidates who currently work in a pharmacy role or are willing and able to source and undertake a work placement with a pharmacy.

Course Information

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. People may enter this qualification with limited or no vocational experience and without a lower level qualification, or they may have previously completed a Certificate II qualification.

After achieving this qualification, people may progress to a Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy or to Certificate IV qualifications in other service industry fields.

Available under a contract of training.

The SIR30116 Certificate III in Community Pharmacy comprises of nineteen (19) units made up of eleven (11) core units and eight (8) elective units.

Assist Customers with Prescriptions
Work Effectively in a Community Pharmacy

Assist Customers with Skin and Anti-Fungal Products
Assist Customers with Products for Gastro-Intestinal Conditions
Assist Customers with Allergy Relief Products
Assist Customers with Analgesic and Anti-Inflammatory Products
Participate in Workplace Health and Safety
