The SIR50116 Diploma of Retail Leadership is available only to persons with current or recent retail management experience. Whilst this may be a suitable next step for Certificate IV graduates, candidates who have experience without prior qualifications are also eligible. If you already demonstrate management and leadership skills you may wish to consider undertaking a RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) assessment in order to reduce or remove the need for class based training. Elective options provide a range of specialisations.
In the event there is no public program commencing, this qualification can be delivered via Distance Education with support from a Facilitator. Some classroom based or work placement commitments may be required.

Course Information

This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.

To undertake this qualification, individuals would be required to have retail management experience in roles, such as:

  • managing store presentation and pricing
  • leading and managing people
  • providing a safe working environment.

The qualification is available under a contract or training.

Qualification Requirements

To achieve a Diploma of Retail Leadership a total of ten (10) units of competency must be completed made up of four (4) core units and six (6) elective units.
