The TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the minimum requirement to work as a facilitator/assessor within the VET (Vocational Education and Training) sector. Students will develop the ability to confidently and professionally plan for and deliver training to individuals, small work groups and classes of varying sizes. Incorporating the technical skills and knowledge necessary, graduates will be able to develop and administer assessments against nationally recognised qualifications and units. Whilst there are no specific entry requirements it is important to note that in addition to this qualification, a graduate would need to also hold the qualification/s or equivalent competencies of the qualification/units that he or she intends to deliver and/or assess. In the event there is no public program commencing, this qualification can be delivered via Distance Education with support from a Facilitator. Some classroom based or work placement commitments may be required. View course

  • Diploma of Training Design and Development

    The TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development reflects the roles of training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. They may have a role in providing guidance and advice to trainers and assessors, promoting innovative practices, e.g. e-learning, and in researching and incorporating best practice in training and assessment into training programs and products. In the event there is no public program commencing, this qualification can be delivered via Distance Education with support from a Facilitator. The TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training reflects the roles of experienced practitioners delivering training and assessment services usually within Registered Training Organisations (RTO's) within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. They may have a role in leading other trainers and assessors and in providing mentoring or advice to new trainers or assessors as well as designing approaches to learning and assessment strategies across a significant area within the RTO.
