The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the minimum requirement to work as a facilitator/assessor within the VET (Vocational Education and Training) sector. Students will develop the ability to confidently and professionally plan for and deliver training to individuals, small work groups and classes of varying sizes. Incorporating the technical skills and knowledge necessary, graduates will be able to develop and administer assessments against nationally recognised qualifications and units.

Course Information

Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education & Training.

  • Program 2:   16th May

Qualification Requirements

To be awarded the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment competency must be achieved in ten (10) units made up of nine (9) core units and one (1) elective unit.
