Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is the minimum requirement to work as an Educator within a regulated children’s education and care service within Australia, including a Childcare Centre. It reflects the role of those who support children’s wellbeing and development within the context of an approved learning framework. In addition to developing the necessary physical care skills, you will learn how to foster the emotional wellbeing of young children and provide meaningful educational experiences that will assist with their preparation for primary school entrance.

Units of competency
The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care comprises of seventeen (17) units – fifteen (15) core units and two (2) elective units.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification. This qualification is suitable for those who are looking to begin working within a Childcare Centre or an Early Learning Centre.
This qualification includes a mandatory minimum 160 hour work placement.
