Certificate III in Sterilisation Services
The Certificate III in Sterilisation Services is designed for those who are responsible for the sterilisation of reusable instruments. It reflects the role of those who are responsible for the cleaning, inspecting, packaging, sterilising and distribution of instruments used for consultation, surgery or invasive procedures. This qualification will prepare you for employment in a role that requires you to sterilise instruments and equipment, and to comply with infection control policies and procedures.

Units of competency
The HLT37015 Certificate III in Sterilisation Services comprises of fourteen (14) units – ten (10) core units and four (4) elective units.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification. This qualification is suitable for those looking to enter the Health sector in this area, or who are currently working in the role and want to become qualified.
This qualification includes a two week vocational work placement.
