Introducing Ben Rogers
Ben started his career as a chef in a regional high school before moving into an apprenticeship in Adelaide. Once qualified, he worked as a professional chef for a number of high-end restaurants and function centres for over 14 years. During this time, he competed in numerous cooking competitions both in Australia and overseas, achieving the following:
- France – Trophee Mille 2019 – Winner of Best Savoury Dish
- Canada – Jeunes Chefs La Chaine Des Rotisseries International 2019 – International Finalist
When Covid hit Ben made the decision to explore other options, choosing to study the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. He enjoyed learning about the Vocational Education & Training (VET) industry, so much so that he returned to study the Double Diploma – Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, and Diploma of Training Design and Development.
Ben embraced the VET sector, realising this is where he wanted to grow his career. He worked with an RTO facilitating cookery in high schools, the Youth Education Centre and for apprentices, before joining Time Education & Training as a Client Relationship Manager.
