Introducing Corrine Joyce
Corinne began her Early Childhood Education journey in 2009 studying her Diploma before welcoming her first baby not long after graduating. She started working full-time in the sector in 2012 working across a number of services moving into leadership roles such as Lead Educator, Educational Leader and Assistant Director.
It was her original goal to be a Centre Director until she found her passion for mentoring her team as part of her Educational Leader role. This led her to study the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. While studying, Corinne worked for various agencies in a casual capacity. This provided a great insight into the practices and philosophies of many different centres which solidified that she had made the right choice. Corinne worked as a trainee trainer with her first RTO and was able to learn so much from a great team of facilitators and educators.
Having had two children who had both gone through the early years sector from a very young age right up until they left for school helped Corinne understand that mentoring staff and students was more than just a role. It was a way to pass on her passion for early childhood, to support educators who wanted to provide the best quality care and education they could, and to feel like she was making a difference to the industry. Like the wonderful educators who had made her children feel valued and nourished she now trains students to be the best they can be because every child deserves the best start in life. Educators are a significant part in that journey.
Corinne’s qualification include:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
Corinne’s personal interests include:
- A newfound love for caravaning
- Old and nostalgic movies
- AFL (not really MY interest but I am passionate about supporting my son in his love of the game)
- Music (playlist could be 80’s rock or 2000’s RnB)
