Introducing Gaylene Binney

Gaylene began her career in health and allied services as a volunteer Ambulance Officer spending four years in the role before upskilling and moving into a training role within the organisation. She then trained volunteer training officers in the sector and trained for St John Ambulance in Adelaide from 1994 until 2012.  When she moved to Queensland for three years Gaylene expanded her career, undertaking her qualifications in aged care and community before returning to Adelaide where she continued her work as a Support Worker in Aged Care and Disability.

Gaylene has completed her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment over several changes to this qualification spending six years working for an RTO delivering training in aged care, disability and allied health services.

Gaylene joined Time Education & Training in 2025 where her passion and heart for training and for her industry continues. She is committed to “making a difference” within the sector as well as for those she trains, and has become an integral part of our Health and Allied Services team.

  • Understanding Dementia
  • Understanding Traumatic Brain Injury

Gaylene’s personal interests include:

  • Social lawn bowls
  • Family and friends
  • Cocktail nights with a group of friends
  • Video games
  • Jasper – the 14-year-old cat adopted from a rescue organisation
