Introducing Michaela O’Brien
Michaela began studying Early Childhood Education over 30 years ago which sparked her passion for building strong relationships with children and a career that has taken her across numerous services and into various roles. After also completing her Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care she extended into leadership roles including as Lead Educator and Educational Leader.
Over time Michaela’s passion for the sector broadened to include those who worked within the industry. She became part of the union striving for the rights of educators and for those in the sector to be viewed as the professionals that they are.
Since this time Michaela has pivoted her career, undertaking the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and turning this passion towards training the next generation of Early Childhood Educators – a move that also meant no longer needing to sit on the floor with crossed legs! Joining Time Education & Training in 2025, Michaela is excited to be a part of the team.
Michaela’s qualifications include:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
Michaela’s personal interests include:
- An extensive (and expensive!) collection of Lego
- Running a small craft/market business with her mum – including making jewellery, garden items, indoor plants, wool felting characters and resin pieces
- Reading (particularly fantasy)
