Introducing Oonagh Antonello

Oonagh has an exceptionally strong background in the Hospitality industry and started her career as an apprentice chef at the Hilton International.  She then expanded her expertise working overseas as a qualified chef to return to the Hilton as Second Chef to Cheong Liew. This role included working with apprentices to assist them to gain their qualifications for Cheong’s restaurant.

Later Oonagh worked as a Head Chef and Manager for a Surf Lifesaving Club for 8 years and was responsible for 100 volunteers and over 25 staff within the Bistro, Cafe and for functions at the club. This role included:

  • Booking weddings
  • Managing function enquiries
  • Developing WHS policies and procedures
  • Training and mentoring staff
  • Developing a strategic plan for the board of management each year

Oonagh then became a qualified Facilitator, joining the Time Education & Training team in 2018. She has previously trained unemployed youth withing the PaTH Program, and also facilitates qualifications and units within:

  • Certificate III in Business
  • Certificate IV in Business
  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

She enjoys creating learning experiences that are both enjoyable and inspiring, fostering engagement and curiosity in every learner.

Oonagh’s qualifications include:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB021)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
  • Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50122)

Oonagh’s personal interests include:

  • Everything about food – cooking, reading recipes, watching cooking shows and most of all eating and sharing good food.
  • Long walks in nature – helps to relax, recharge and stay connected to the outdoors.
