Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the minimum requirement to work as a Facilitator and Assessor within the VET (Vocational Education and Training) sector. It reflects the roles of entry-level VET trainers, assessors and teachers who are delivering training services to vocational learners and assessment services to candidates. This qualification will assist you to develop the ability to confidently and professionally plan for and deliver training and to assess the competence of learners.

Units of competency
The TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment comprises of twelve (12) units – six (6) core units and six (6) elective units.
Those entering this qualification must be able to demonstrate vocational competence in their proposed training and assessing area. Vocational competence is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
