Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care will assist you in taking your career as an Educator to the next level. It reflects the skills and knowledge for designing and implementing the curriculum requirements of an approved learning framework, maintaining compliance requirements, and leading and mentoring other Educators within a regulated children’s education and care service.

Units of competency
The CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care comprises of fifteen (15) units – twelve (12) core units and three (3) elective units.
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or a CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
This qualification includes a mandatory minimum 280 hour work placement.

Further training pathways from this qualification include the BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management.
