Bringing experience, passion and purpose to every corporate training room

Meet Richard Noronha, our Senior Specialist Facilitator

After four years at Time Education & Training, Richard Noronha has become one of our most relied upon and experienced facilitators, especially when it comes to our corporate training. His journey into education began with a background in sales and marketing, but it was his natural inclination to teach and uplift others that truly shaped his path.

Richard discovered his passion for training when he began running informal knowledge sessions to help retail staff better understand product features and benefits during his time in Dubai. These sessions, run outside of work hours, led to better sales results and stronger relationships and sparked a deep sense of fulfilment in Richard. ‘That satisfaction, I couldn’t quantify in dollars,’ he reflected.

When he migrated to Australia over eight years ago, Richard knew it was time to formally embrace education. He completed his Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) and had some in-depth experience before joining Time Education & Training.

Today, Richard delivers a wide range of accredited and corporate training programs including the Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420), Diploma of Human Resource Management (BSB50320), Certificate IV in Human Resource Management (BSB40420), some core units of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) and plays a key role in corporate partnerships with organisations including major mining companies, government entities and several prominent wineries, as well as smaller and medium-sized local businesses.

What sets Richard apart is not just his breadth of knowledge, but the way he brings content to life. ‘Anyone can read from a book,’ he said. ‘But my job is to make it real, to bring in stories, case studies, and the learners’ own experiences so the training embeds deeply.’ His sessions are dynamic, collaborative, and personalised. Whether facilitating a one-day session or mentoring students over a 12-month course, Richard makes it a priority to connect with each person.

In corporate training settings, Richard is known for tailoring content to each organisation’s specific needs. He invests time researching the client’s business and industry trends, and speaks with stakeholders to understand the desired outcomes. His approach ensures training is not only compliant and current, but meaningful and relevant to real-world challenges.

Richard is also passionate about leadership development. He often highlights a key gap in many workplaces: many companies promote individuals into leadership roles without formal training. ‘Being a good team member doesn’t automatically make you a good leader,’ he noted. His goal is to bridge that gap and help people become confident, capable leaders who can bring out the best in others.

Every day in the classroom is different for Richard. Some days are spent delivering live training; others involve planning, assessing, updating materials, or collaborating with the wider team. It’s this variety, and the chance to keep learning himself, that fuels his passion. ‘I haven’t had a single day that felt dull,’ he said.

Outside of work, Richard volunteers with Vinnies and contributes to personal charity initiatives. He enjoys gardening (despite a household ban on more plants!), cooking new vegetarian dishes, and keeping up with cricket and tennis. He’s also excited by emerging technologies and the future of education, including how AI and digital transformation can enhance the learning experience.

When asked what he loves most about working at Time Education & Training, Richard doesn’t hesitate: ‘We all want the same thing: to see our learners succeed. From the support staff to the facilitators, everyone goes the extra mile. It’s not just a workplace. It’s a team committed to making good people great.’
