A journey of growth, innovation, and commitment
In the ever-changing world of vocational education and training (VET), staying relevant, adaptable, and compliant as a registered training organisation is challenging but crucial. For John Heidt and Diane Godwin, founders of Time Education & Training, their almost three decades in the industry speak volumes. Through a combination of perseverance, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to providing quality education and training, they have created a legacy that continues to shape the Australian training landscape.
Built on a shared vision

The journey to longevity began in 2000 when H.R.D. Resources, led by John Heidt, entered into a partnership with Godwin & Associates, founded by Diane Godwin. This collaboration marked the start of an exciting and ambitious phase, where the scope of the business expanded, extending its client base locally and branching out into interstate developments.
From the beginning, John and Diane were committed to building a sustainable and forward-thinking business that could provide high-quality training and development across multiple sectors. Their shared vision helped lay the foundation for what would become one of South Australia’s most respected and successful RTOs.
By 2004, as their reputation as a reliable training provider grew, the business name was changed to Training, Innovation, Management and Enterprise Pty Ltd (T.I.M.E. Pty Ltd) to better reflect their mission and future direction. This change was more than a rebrand; it was a reflection of the company’s expanding influence, from its growing local presence in South Australia to reach across all borders and establish its presence in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, Northern Territory and Western Australia. The brand was solidified as Time Education & Training Pty Ltd in 2015.
Expansion of a registered training organisation
Over the years, the company continued to grow, adding offices in Queensland and Western Australia and securing contracts in almost every mainland state. By 2013, T.I.M.E. Pty Ltd had become one of the largest privately-owned RTOs in South Australia, known for its outstanding reputation within the VET sector and its dedication to industry practitioner qualification training.
In 2014, a major milestone was achieved with the opening of their state-of-the-art training facility in Mile End. With multiple training rooms, cutting-edge equipment, and a focus on high-quality service delivery, Time Education & Training created a learning environment that supports the growth of both clients and students alike.
The comfort of consistency
What makes Time Education & Training stand out is not just its longevity but its ability to maintain high standards throughout its years in operation. With nearly 30 years of experience in training and development, both John and Diane have maintained the rigorous compliance obligations required under the Vocational Education Training (VET) Quality Framework (interestingly, ‘…the Standards for RTOs, does not prescribe how an RTO must demonstrate compliance. As such, what compliance will look like will vary for each provider…’) as a registered training organisation. Instead, they have excelled by ensuring that their services are not only compliant but are always evolving to meet the changing needs of the industry and the way people learn. Their success story is a testament to the power of long-term vision, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
With ongoing investments in industry engagement, regular validation and moderation activities, and a strong network of contractors and partners, Time Education & Training is poised for continued success. The company’s commitment to customisation and its deep engagement with clients and students ensures that it will remain a leader in the VET sector for many years to come.
‘Time’s approach to training is with an emphasis on customisation, industry collaboration and continuous engagement with stakeholders. Through regular consultations, the development of tailored training materials, and a strong focus on workforce development, we continue to add value and relevance to the VET sector,’ stated Diane Godwin-Heidt, CEO and Founder.
Celebrating excellence
Time Education & Training’s contributions to the VET sector have not gone unnoticed and they have won and placed in prestigious SA Training Awards spanning multiple categories and years such as 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2021, including Large Training Provider of the Year award.
The journey of Time Education & Training is a true reflection of what is possible when dedication, vision, and hard work come together. As they move forward into the next phase, their commitment to providing high-quality, customised training will continue to make a lasting impact on individuals and businesses alike, helping to shape the future of Australia’s workforce.
